Sometimes we overlook treasures just because they live in plain sight, to today I want to share a little jewel of my household with you, it is a Cort Earth Series 150F which belongs to my Mum. it is a little neglected if you compare it to my regular guitar, but it is still a very nice instrument that I wish to share with you today.

Features

Instruments are about much more than a features list, but here are some of the specs, Dreadnought body shape, solid spruce top, either mahogany or maple back and sides (havn’t been able to figure out which, if you are a woodpecker and can tell by the pics, please comment and let me know). Fishman electronics, some nice inlays on the headstock and about a decade of playing.

Sound and Feel

This guitar is certainly a very crisp and  bright sounding guitar, with moderate sustain. To my taste anyway, it seems to come to life while strumming, but not so much when played finger style. The neck is small so it can be quite easy to play, but it can feel a little cramped if your fingers (like mine) are a little on  the thick side.

Things to look out for

These Guitars are built like a tank, which is great, but be mindful of the craftsmanship of the individual instrument, particularly the alignment of the saddle and the neck of the guitar.
