A year ago, I returned home from AYC desperately wanting to share what had been one of the greatest experiences of my life, I told everyone who would listen but it was so big I could not seem to write on my blog about it, as a matter of fact, I started many times, but every time, I chased too many thoughts and achieved nothing, so, this year, rather than trying to capture the experience to share (as I believe this is simply more than mere words can describe) it is my intention to distill my spiritual plan of action for you. This is as much for me as it is for you, I have many notes, etchings, data files and scrawlings which need to find some sort of cohesion in this post (and the proceeding posts), so I am quite excited about it myself.

It is my intention to categorize by speaker, this first post will be based on the first message of Pr Dwight Nelson.

Pr Dwight Nelson ~ Sermon: 1

An exponential curve or growth is totally different to linear increase, and we are living in an age where resource depletion, economic load, population growth are all entering this pattern.
If you don’t believe me (or Pr Dwight Nelson) have a look at Chris Martenson’s website.

In application, this information points to the fact that the history of Earth could easily wrap up sooner than any of us realize, and before the end of time Pentacost 2 must occur. The first Pentecost happened 50 days after Passover when the passion that God felt for all humanity was proved as the Creator was mocked, derided, tortured, nailed to a tree and was, in the end , worst of all, separated from communion with God the Father.

We stand at a time in history when we can hear the rushing wind afar off, the Holy spirit is waiting to be given entry, our prayer should be for the same passion which beat in the heart of Jesus, a passion for other lost children, that we would not selfishly grasp at our own salvation, but be focussed on providing others with the bread of life and living water, so they also may never thirst again.

1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and onesat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:1

In order to experience Pentecost 2, we need to pray for passion in the same way the disciples did, they understood the great commission and prayed for a fitness to communicate the plan of salvation to the world, to be a witness for Christ (it is interesting to note that the root word for witness is the same as the root word for martyr) this is why they came together in Acts 2:1 (above) in one accord to pray, praise God we have such an example to follow.

Conclusion: If we want the spirit to be poured out full strength, to experience the power of God, we must do as the disciples did and pray to have the Heart of Jesus, ie:a passion to save His lost children.

(My thoughts are not as clear as normal in this post and I apologize for that, it is simply due to lack of sleep, I promise I will get better as we go along.)
